You Dont Get Want You Want. You Get What You Deserve

You don't always get want you want in life and you shouldn't...But you do get what you deserve. On Monday, I found out that I didn't get accepted into a public service fellowship that I had applied for back in October 2016. My mother who never curses, told me I was "too damn qualified for it" hahaha. Gotta love mom, and she's probably right, my resume consists of producing movies, tv shows, and helping workers in New York fight for higher wages and respect. Yea, I might be a little too complex for some organizations lol but its all good.

After about an hour of disappointment, I was actually relieved because I was not sure that I wanted to continue working in this field, and I had openly expressed this internal conflict with a few of my friends. I mean it was a great opportunity but it would ultimately take me further from my natural gifts. The fellowship was the safe thing to do, but as Abraham Hicks would say, I had been placing too many entrepreneurial requests into my vortex.

As gifted as I am, I still find myself reaching for the edge of the pool, just in case things get rough. My only regret is that I didn't stand up and make this decision on my own but its all good. Everything happens for a reason. I truly believe this moment will prove to be a pivotal point in my life.

So my mom, of course, calls the following day and asks "What are you going to do now" my reply, "Stop doubting myself and build my brand like its worth a million dollars," because it is.

Mom accepted that answer...

So the Lesson of the Day, is to stop doubting yourself. Not many people can do we do here at WA, that means we are already special, so why stop at that. Go all out and see where it takes you.
