Starting a new adventure

I have recently started a new adventure and wanted to share it with you all.

About 2 weeks ago I saw an ad on my facebook for Menu next door. Basically the concept is to bring home cooked food to your local neighbourhood. Thereby reducing the amount of unhealthy take aways that people buy on a regular basis and give them the option of buying fresh home cooked meals from a neighbour. When I read the concept I thought, what a brilliant idea. Personally I am a stay at home mom and cook for my family every day, there are days when I cook extra and food ends up in the bin, it would be brilliant to cook for my neighbours and help them live healthier lifestyles by eating freshly prepared meals instead of unhealthy fast food.

So I signed up without hesitation. I got a call from one of the staff and arranged to attend one of the group welcoming sessions. I was a bit nervous in the beginning because I thought what if I've signed up to some online scam and they're going to expect me to invest or buy something. I set my reservations aside and attended the very casual informal, group sessions. The concept was explained to us in detail as well as the history of how Menu next door started. It has been extremely successful in Belgium and Paris over the last year and has now arrived in London.

I was very excited at the whole idea, and I opted to do a menu straight away. I put up my menu of, spicy Thai green curry and rice for my first menu. I have since completed my first menu with much success and people have embraced the idea and supported my new adventure. I plan on doing another menu for next week and hopefully in time do up to 3 menus a week.

This concept and company have been heaven sent for me, as I have been looking to do something from home to allow me to spend time with my little girl and earn some cash on the side.

I truly hope Menu next door is launched in every major city soon, I think we could turn the tables on obesity and diseases that are a result of unhealthy eating.
