Spamming in WA!
It has come to my attention that there is spamming going on in this community. To all of those spammers out there in this community, this is strictly a spam free community. Kyle has posted the no spam guidelines here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/wealthy-a.... It is important that we all abide by these guidelines as this is a learning community for individuals that are serious about starting a business online. This community is not to promote any products or services but to learn how to accomplish this outside of WA.
If you want to spam take your chances in Facebook groups since there is a lot of spamming already going on there but do not do it here. One of the reasons I love this community so much is that it is spam free and I am sure many others here will agree with me on that. WA is meant to be a safe haven for the beginner as well as the experienced and spamming within WA will not be tolerated by Kyle as you can read in his post that I posted above.
Thank you.
Allen
May you all have great success!

This problem seems to stick around. K&C's goal of keeping WA 100% spam free needs community involvement, but I've followed some threads where it's seems like some members don't want to "get involved" or are unaware of the "Report Spam" button ... or both.
It might be that many members never see Page 6 of the Open Education Project document, which should be a required read by all members.
Thank you for speaking up Allen.
Strange, just before reading this, I received one, a rarity, but it does happen.
I usually pm the person, sending along Kyle's link, as more times than not, the person is just in the dark about the rules, and spamming was not his or her intent.
However, if the comment or post is not removed (which most of the time it has been), then, as much as I abhor clicking spam I will.
In two years, i've only had to resort to clicking it a few times, bottom line is, we do have to protect our space here.
Have a great day

Amen, that is all I have to say. We are here to work and learn from each other.
Thanks for the reminder.
I just received an email from a person today that was complete spam. I warned him and sent him a link to the No Spam policy here at WA. I have not heard back from him. I do hope he gets the point, if he is a real spammer he won't and I will turn him in.
I believe we should give everyone a chance to understand we do not tolerate spam and warn them about it. I know everyone who does the training sees the no spam policy page but not everyone goes thru the training now do they?
Have a great day.
San
Hello San,
Same thing happened to me. I informed him because I believe everyone is entitled to a chance. You are right not everyone here goes through the training, but I would suggest that everyone at least go through the basic training of how WA works.

I think its really good that WA is pretty clear of spam. In the 4 months I have been here I have only seen this once.
Totally agree with you though.
Andrew
Hello Andrew,
A spam free community is definitely important. There is more than enough spam already on the web without it infiltrating WA.
Allen
Awesome Allen,
I also agree & get daily messages of what I consider Spam.
Thank You for sharing my Friend, let's keep WA spam free!
Tony
Thank you Tony,
One thing I cannot stand is getting private messages with an external affiliate link here. This just happened to me. We need to all work together to keep WA spam free.
May you have great success!

That's surely not a very nice thing to do, to send affiliate links via PM, I never got one, but I think they feel it, I certainly will report them.
Hello Loes,
This is definitely a dirty way to try to market anything. I have never agreed with the practice and I cannot stand. I am definitely going to report this individual so they do not target anyone else.

Thanks for the post and for reminding some folks here at WA about the rules about Spam and Solicitation within the community. We're continually hard at work making sure that spam is kept to a minimum with the ultimate goal of keeping WA 100% spam free.
All premium membres can help us out by clicking the "Report Spam" button within the "Actions" drop down button in comments or posts. We look at all content reported as spam, remove it, and learn from it so that we can improve our methods of keeping the community safe.
It's a group effort to keep spam at bay :)
Carson
Hello Carson,
I appreciate a spam free community and you are 100% correct that it is all of our responsibility to keep spam out of WA to keep this community safe.
Thank you for all of your hard work.
