Update for Jan 2020 + My System of Writing Posts Everyday

Hey all,

So last December I've made it a point to at least check in on Wealthy Affiliate once a month. And in this month's update, I thought I'll share with you the system that I've created in my day to be as productive as I could be without feeling burned out - because I had that at the end of last month.

With this system, I've managed to write a good post (+2,000 words), read books, do yoga, and meditate and work on my freelance business every single day. I do think meditating and having a yoga session are actually keeping me sane and not letting me feeling as burned out as I did before.

It's not really rocket science but I did get a lot of inspiration from these 2 books on productivity and habits: Make Time by Jake and JZ, Atomic Habits by James Clear.

If you want to learn more about how to be your best selves every day, I do recommend giving those 2 books a read :)

Anyway, here's my current daily system that's been working out well for me since the beginning of this month:

- Wake up at 6.30 am, wash my face and pray
- Read a book for half an hour
- Prepare my morning coffee
- Do a 30-minute yoga session (at the moment I do Yoga with Adriene for free on YouTube)
- Meditate for 10-15mins (I use Headspace app - will try Calm app next month to compare)
- Start writing an article for 2 and a half hour
- Lunch break + Shower (12pm - 1pm)
- Work on a freelance project for 4-5 hours
- Finish up the previous article and publish
- TV break + dinner (usually 6.30pm - 8.30pm)
- Work on any smaller tasks
- In bed by 10.30pm

I've been doing this for 4 weeks now - and sometimes I do get tired if I have a lot more to tackle in a day but I'm also learning to be kinder to myself and let myself rest.

Also, Sunday is my OFF day. I allocate work time up to only 3 hours on Sunday so I can fully rest at least 1 day a week :) I still do yoga, meditation, and reading on Sunday though. But not work - our body and mind need to rest too!

Website Updates:

My motto this year is progress.

Since I started a lot of things last year, I just want to keep on at it, without overestimating the results.

So my plan is to just keep on doing my system every day and only look at the stats once every month - so that I won't start becoming anxious and all.

So far my MMO niche website is doing very well in terms of the users that I get month-on-month and I didn't do anything crazy, just exactly how Kyle asked us to do it in the training.

I'll probably include the stats in my next update but it's now 10:37 pm where I'm at and I'm getting really sleepy.

I'll just end this update here and see you tomorrow, welcoming February 2021 :)

Cheers,

Wina

You are on the right track with yoga and meditation. I would suggest that you add in some type of spiritual training as well. It will go well with the yoga and meditation.

Very well done, Wina!

You're welcome, Wina!😉

Good job Wina!
Thanks for sharing your daily routine. You have great discipline. So you work on your freelance jobs plus your blogs only?
So you don’t have the 9-5pm type of job also?
It’s great that you can commit such time and also make it very focused and committed!

Hi John, thank you! :)
Ah yes, I quit my corporate 9-5 (more like 9-12 to me last time) last year. Now I'm only doing freelance projects + my websites.
I tried to add new projects before but even with the schedule, it's quite tight already for me and i still need to do some chores around the house. So at least for now and February, I think this will be the routine :)

Good for you Wina - your discipline is admirable
You have really set the benchmark. 9-12 or Freelance work gives you tons of flexibility and good to see you are maximising this.
Success! John

I love the steps that you have taken to our your progress

It is awesome to see your slow but steady growth

Continue to make positive progress and you will be one more step closer to achieving your goals
