Update for Dec 2020 of My 3 Websites

Hey guys,

I thought I'll be a little bit more active on Wealthy Affiliate and start posting blogs - at least when my referrals come in, they can see that I'm here and I can help them out too whenever. I'm usually here everyday but working on my websites - have been thinking of posting and updating my blogs and journey here but it's always been "ahh I'll do it tomorrow" kinda thing.

So since I just finished up one of the pillar posts on my blog (6,000 over words), I thought I'll take today off and update my profile here in WA since I've just gotten a couple of good news. (new affiliate income + 2 more posts ranked in page #1)

So let's talk about my 1st website- Yoga website

- this was the first website I've created in WA and it's been up and running for over 2 years. I've actually abandoned the blog since early 2019. Yes, yes I know I shouldn't have but life happened. I kept on renewing the domain cause I know the blog has so much potential. I've ranked a few keywords on page #1 until now and I know I can produce more content for it. This will be my project for 2021 but won't be the main one.

Probably just update the layout and post maybe 2 posts/month.

I get ad revenue from this website every month and have affiliate income coming in. I just received another affiliate income worth $25 just now - not too shabby for a website I haven't touched for almost 2 years!

2nd website - Freelance website

I offer a freelance service for Facebook & Google ads and have been receiving organic traffic from my multiple social media accounts. Even when I don't promote anything, there are new inquiries coming in here and there. I just made sure the links are all uniquely placed on my social media.

3rd website - Personal Finance blog

I had some confusion when I was creating this blog - either to focus more about money management or focusing more on make money online topic. I decided to focus more on money management because with this blog ultimately I want to help people become more aware of their finances.

I got ad revenue (but I stopped a couple of days ago), affiliate income and now start selling printables as a one time offer. It's still early but I'm planning to do it even more next year. I actually got 2 printables sales the same night it went live - crazy!

My current strategy is to focus 100% on growing the traffic for this blog till end of year. Really find out what's the best way to optimize and focus on instead of doing every single thing to have additional 2-3 pageviews per day. It's all about long-term growth for me.

NEW PROJECT(S)

New website - MMO niche

I just started this website less than 2 weeks ago. I have my writer to write for this website and I completely hands off. Every day I just went to the website and share it to a couple of its social media accounts and that's it.

But here's the interesting part. In the span of less than 2 weeks, I've garnered 167 pageviews (I've excluded my country and my writer's). For a brand new website, that's considered a lot to me.

The website is well indexed and even though my article hasn't ranked that well on Google, the article shared on its Facebook's account has :) I target very new products and low competition keywords for the website to easily rank, and I think this is working, slowly.

I went through the trainings from Grace (Littlemama), Dylan, Jerry, and Eddy here - learned so much! And then came up with own sets of strategy and list of priorities. I then shared it over to my writer for him to take over.

He currently writes 5 days a week and the website only has 7 posts/reviews now. Excited to see how it'll perform in one year time!

YouTube

It's been on my mind to create a YouTube channel for a while. And hopefully I'll be able to focus on this in the first quarter of next year.

It'll be focusing more on personal finance here (Malaysia) and my aim is to still educate more people about the importance of learning personal finance.

It's not to 100% monetize but I'm thinking it'll sit nicely if I were to sell my printables. And maybe any small affiliates that I can do. OR even my services once I'm certified :)

But I'm not planning to create another blog specifically for this. It's different from my current personal finance blog a little bit since most of my readers there are from the US - my main traffic is from Pinterest, hence the location.

That being said, I do think whenever I write something that's more general, I can link it up back to the YouTube channel. Honestly I'm still not sure on this but I'll go with the flow once I have my YouTube account up and running :)

I think that's about it for now.

I'll try to update at least once a month and perhaps share a few things that I've learned along the way here.

Till next month!

x, Wina

Nice going Wina, looks like you'll be busy for a while.

Thanks! Yes, it looks like so but one good thing is that I no longer work 9-5, I'm only working around 20 hours now for my freelancing gig so I have more time at the moment to work on all these goals :)
