I Just Finished My First Three Blog Posts!

Hey, I'm in the beauty niche and go by the name Wilona. I just finished my first three blog post of (hopefully) 6 this month and let me just say, I shocked myself. I mostly surprised myself with my determination as I have been practically writing or researching every day even though I am on a water fast (for health purposes). You see, I am just 26 but have already been so exhaustingly let down by other "online revenue building" platforms.

But this time I am taking full accountability and I absolutely want this to work. It just HAS to work this time as my parents are getting older and I would like to protect and help them with anything they need in the future. They have given so much to me and it would be heartbreaking if I can't return the favour.

My first website is https://beautyinsidergirl.com/ and I want to thank everyone at WA who have left me encouraging words on my profile and made me feel write at home!

Three blog posts down sounds like a good start for week one at WA, right? But I still clearly have a lot to learn and it was not always easy writing....

Content content content.

I can vouch for all those who are nervous and a bit jaded of that C-word in particular. It is not always easy churning out words and coming up with new ideas. Research can take a bit of time and trying to make something sound fresh and exciting is tough work considering there are thousands of articles on any given topic.

I felt exhausted just opening the content section of my dashboard. I know I can write as I have typed out an 80,000 word book before that is now published on Amazon with over 80 reviews, but the thought of pushing out a weekly article gave me anxiety.

Luckily, there are three key things I used to keep me motivated and super-charge my productivity:

1) Read other posts

Whether they are from other members here at WA or articles on other websites within your niche, reading the thoughts and opinions of others is a good way to stir up your own ideas and help you keep a level-head. It is also crucial in enforcing the mindset that you are not alone on your journey.

2) Network

There is nothing more awesome than having a WA buddy. Online work can be particularly lonesome. Instead of being sad though, look through the people who have already reached out to you or made a comment on your post and build a rapport with them. This is not only good for your mental health but your productivity will thank you.

3) Practice mindful Meditation

This is one that I am slacking in. But mindful meditation or any mediation at all can calm nerves and bring a sense of peace and concentration to an overworked brain. You don't even have to purchase anything. There are useful 20-minute or even 10-minute mindful mediation videos on YouTube. All you need is a comfortable quiet spot in your home and you're good to go. Ask any health specialist, taking a break is just as important as taking action!

4) Have Fun

This has so many meanings! You could use fun in your article writing, whatever that is to you. Maybe by putting on a fancy suite and pretending you are writing for Forbes. Maybe your in a beauty niche like myself. In that case you can pretend you are at some cheek upper Hollywood cafe, freelancing for Sephora. Maybe you want to buy a latte and sit in an actual cafe. People watching is always good!

Fun could also mean including enjoyable activities in your breaks. Take as many of these me-moments as you need. Watch your favorite show, go out once in while even if it means dancing by yourself. Turn on the radio, pet a cat. Anything, just make it fun!

In the end only you have the power to build your own empire. And that is a great thing since nobody can take it away from you! But you have to push yourself! You just have to. You may never feel like writing an article but if you want to be a successful blogger/affiliate marketer, you MUST write articles.

Paying for traffic to your website is one option, but like I heard mentioned somewhere (I believe by Oprah): in order to achieve success you must provide VALUE. Value is the things you offer to people. See your blog as a magazine or book, the merchandise, and each article as a chapter or page.

And that is a beautiful thing. One day people will pay you to advertise their products in your beautiful online platform. Also, say one day that affiliate product bringing you revenue goes away, it will be okay because you will always have your BLOG. YOUR product. And that means your traffic will not disappear with the product.

How does all this sound to you?

If you would like to check out my website and my first three posts you can visit the link below. I would be delighted to hear your opinion. Feel free to leave a link to your website and give your thoughts in the comment section and I will be happy to leave you similar feedback!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my first WA blog post!

WOW! That is an incredible post Wilona Blue! Copy, Paste to beautyinsidergirl.com! Great work!

Thanks, hun, I was thinking about doing so but worry it would conflict with the overall concept of the site.

I would think it would give it an even more personal feel! I say go for it! The readers will let you know if it's something they don't want to see... =)

Keep it up.

Thank you I sure will!

Great Job Wilona :) You're making great progress! Keep it up!

Thank you :)
