What Is Branding? – Should You Care?
Branding is your identity,
your character, your way of life, your promise to the world. Branding is what connects you to the community. It is your association with and the image of you in the mind of the consumer. It is what you stand for and what you are known for. Branding is about you being perceived as the solution to your customer’s problems.
So, why should you care?
Well simply put, who do you want customers to think of as a solution to their problem you or someone else? Branding may be subjective but you want consumers to connect with you or your company. When a potential customer has a problem you want them to have an image of you, your company, your logo as the solution they need. This means more sales and more money in your pocket.
Many people consider good branding to be only public awareness.
It’s greater than that. People are aware of tuberculosis but you don’t want to be thought of like that. It’s also about responsiveness. The extent the public is familiar with your brand elements. The degree to which the public has an association with what you have to offer. It’s your individuality. If you’ve yet found the insight to define your brand, do not spend another penny on marketing until you do because your brand is what links you and your business to your audiences mind. I’ll end with an old cliché out of sight out of mind.

Great thoughts and something to keep in mind as we build our sites. We want people to remember us and come back for seconds if they found the first serving palatable.

The hardest thing with picking a site name is most of them are gone. So we are left to pick a name that is close to the brand as possible.
