BREAKING NEWS. Microsoft releases emergency patch for all versions of Windows including Windows 10

It has been about a week ago when Microsoft released it's monthly security patches 14 of them on patch Tuesday. Now a week later the Redmond software giant has released an "Out of band" emergency security patch effecting ALL versions of Windows. Microsoft has labeled this it's highest level "CRITICAL" something it has always been reluctant to do in the past. We have been here before with these "embedded OpenType fonts I don't recall, perhaps a year or two ago. With over 17+ thousand emails I won't take the time to look it up LOL. Use the windows update module, sorry but your gonna have to close down (leave WA and all programs) so save your work if you wish. After the patch is installed I do it before just in case, Create a restore point, Microsoft may do this before the patch is installed automanicaly I give it today's date for example. I will cover restore points the good and the bad in another blog for the people who don't know about them. For the people who don't know. To create a manual restore point close everything, hit the start button, there are other ways I just thought this would be easier for those who never did this before. In the search programs and files box type create, or type restore. A box will open click on create a restore point and give it today's date or what ever you wish to call it, then click create. Wait for the successful message click ok and click ok again. Now close all programs because windows can't update files that are in use. Now go to windows update (little flag by the clock) click it then open action center.

Depending on how you set this up, some may have to click on check for updates. Wait for windows to contact Microsoft be patient may take awhile. You will see updates labeled CRITICAL , important and optional. Select the critical 1 and if any labeled important. You can pass on any optional for another time if you wish. Now let windows do it's thing, your PC may boot close down and restart more then once this is normal. I tried to write this in a way "no tech talk" for WA members who may have needed some help. I hope I have accomplished this!
