When women link arms around the world anything is possible. With Dorian brought its catastrophic winds, and rain in the Bahamas over night we created a movement for the women in the Bahamas and just not there but around the world. Before 1990 this would not have been possible. To think it has been just 30 Years and where #Technology has brought us. I can honestly say I have been in awe over the start of the Internet being a Geek! Here is my message to the women of the Bahamas!

Dear Sister:

I’m sure your life has been turned upside down. Although I cannot relate to the exact circumstance you are in, I imagine you find yourself embarking down new and unfamiliar paths and in some cases having to start over.

I hope this letter provides you with a little bit of encouragement and most of all love and patience to keep going. Despite being in survival mode, it’s my wish you can take the time to slow down and just breathe.

As you come to terms with the magnitude of loss, I hope you can be patient with yourself and know that many people across the world are praying for you and your family. The hardest thing we can do is try to control a situation that is out of our control. By taking one step forward at a time, I am sending you patience, support, encouragement, kindness, empathy and understanding.

My wish is that you feel free to express your emotions, not hide, deny or repress and understand that no one gets through hard times alone. The love, care and support of others can make all the difference. I am sending you that love, care and support.

You are stronger than you realize and I hope you can find the strength and courage within yourself that you’ll need right now to face each day. I believe it is within you to rise up. There is joy and meaning on the other side of this and you will become a better version of yourself as you begin to turn the pages on this tremendous loss and make new memories.

Although it does not seem like it right at this moment, you were meant for greatness.
