Dont over think it
Hey you.... Your overthinking it
My journey thus far.... Restarting WA after 18 or so months.
WHY Im restarting - 2 years ago - I over-thinked-it. I needed the perfect niche. I needed the perfect business name/product name. I needed the right domain name. Hey if I got this wrong I wouldnt be able to change it. I spent weeks using Jaxxy, looking at themes, checking domain names, looking at competition on Google.
And what I ended up doing was spending less and and less time on my supposed web site till it got to the stage - I QUIT
Now Im restarting. I follow the trainings, I do each step as I get to it. I jumped into a niche that will not be my one and only niche and I grabbed a name - I will not OVERTHINK THIS.
I am writing my posts from the heart. I dont have to research because I know and have lived and breathed my niche for years. The content is just flowing. YES Im struggling with the page/post set up. Im struggling with the image postioning and how to get them onto my site. But Im learning......
This Website is my investment into knowledge. It will not be my last. My next website will be my "monetiseable" website (I hope) but for now I need to invest in my KNOWLEDGE
Im trying not to overthink it...... Even writing this blog is a procrastination to actually working on my web, but again Im learning - by telling myself DONT OVERTHINK IT.
So for those newbies out there. Take this piece of advise - Dont overthink it. Grab a niche your passionate about and invest in your knowledge as your set your first web site up. There is so much help and advise here at WA - use it for the technical stuff. Just get it done.

Sound advice Paula, we can get transfixed by what is under the bonnet of that niche or post instead of jumping in and just driving it to where we want to be.
One of the best inventions ever was the edit button.
Best wishes as you reconnect with your reasons for doing the online thing and all the best in your creative endeavors moving forward.
This is great advice, thanks for sharing Paula. I seen myself in a lot of what you wrote. I did not leave but I quit working. It took refocusing to get moving again.

Paula, I feel like you're speaking to me. I am over-thinking everything which means I haven't done a thing. Ugh..
Thanks for your post and good luck!

I’ve just gone premium because it makes me feel like i’ve got more skin in the game. I’m doing this alongside a property investment business. It’s awesome
Congrats on going Premium. And Im glad you commented on my post as it has brought it back in front of me. Yesterday I was working on my web trying to get it ready for sitefeedback when my adult daughter comes in and says - mum you need a catchier name. Your images are boring. etc. She did give me some lessons on how to take pics. but I spent the rest of the day -over-thinking my web. I needed this brought back into my mind. So thank you for doing this .
I hope your journey on WA is strolling along nicely and welcome to Premium
