Whew! I Needed This Today!
Whew!! After the week I've had, I really needed some good news today.
I just finished my Online Entrepreneur Training!
I can't brag enough on how wonderful this training has been for me and how awesome this community is. I really do love what I am doing!!
I know, it's taken me long enough. But, finally, I've completed it and right now I am having a feeling of accomplishment. It's such a nice feeling when you finish a goal.
Yesterday, I had the wind completely knocked out of my sails. I was working on a new article and when I went to my Amazon Associates Account, to my surprise, they had put the skids to my account. Totally shut me down. I was devastated!! What had I done wrong?!
I had not received a word from them so I was hoping this was an error. Ha! No error!! Totally my fault.
Are you wondering what I had done wrong? Well, so was I. I called Amazon and spoke to the sweetest lady. She reissued the e-mail they had supposedly already sent me, and informed me of my transgression.
I had listed the price on the items I was recommending. That is a no-no. Only Amazon can list their prices. Did you guys all already know that? I have no idea how I've missed this valuable information all this time.
I thoroughly recommend, if you haven't already read your Amazon Associates Agreement, do so immediately. I'd read it once, but apparently I missed a lot. So now I am in the process of going over it again and making notes.
They allowed me to reapply after I had corrected every single post on my website. But they gave me a new Amazon ID. That means I've had to go over every single post again and everywhere I've placed an Amazon Item, I've had to redo it with my new ID. UGH!!
Hopefully that is all done now and tomorrow will be a new day. Believe it or not, I'm not discouraged. I am tired, though. I'm taking off for the rest of the day. Then tomorrow it will be full steam ahead. Onward and Upward!!

Thanks, Loes. I'm on to Bootcamp!! I'm so excited to be able to really get going with this. I started my new website last week but decided I had to go back and finish my first training. Glad now that I did.

Thanks so much. It's actually taken me 5 months. I can't believe it took me that long. We have had some illness and that has slowed me down. Anyway, I'm so thankful for the wonderful training.
On to Bootcamp!!! YAY!!

I was still in the probation period and had gotten my 3 sales, so they were evaluating whether or not to take me off of probation. LOL, I told my husband this was the first time I've ever been on probation!! And look what I went and done!! :)

Wow, we had no idea about this, Wendi Sue.
Maybe are not understanding fully what you are saying. Are you saying you simply cannot put the price at all or that you listed the price in some incorrect way? On almost every site we look at that has product links to Amazon, the price is clearly stated next to the image of the product. Have we misunderstood you?

Ok. I'll try to explain it as she told me. It is never OK to type out the price. If you are adding text and picture then Amazon will list the price with their ad, and if there is any price change, it will automatically show in the add. But if you type in the price, say in your article you say, "You can get this from Amazon for $59.99", then that is an absolute no-no. They can't go in and read all of our articles and correct that price if there is a price change. It makes sense to me, now that I think about it. I just had no idea, though and on most of my posts, I would take the picture only and talk about the pricing within my article. Can't do it that way. I hope this helps.

I'm glad you could understand my garbledeegoo!!! When I reread what I had sent it didn't even make sense to me. LOL
You know, every time I've called Amazon they have been pretty easy to work with and understand.
It's all behind me now. I actually learned a valuable lesson through this. I'm moving on to concentrate on Bootcamp now and I am really looking forward to this next training.
