Modifications to Themes

Just learned a valuable lesson regarding modifications to adult themes. I've been using the Omega theme and wanted to make changes to the header area. So I found appropriate code on the WP forum and successfully made the changes.

Fortunately I only made two changes because the theme was just updated and all my changes were elimiated. I had been trying to get educated with child themes before that happened, but now it's a must to have this information if I, or you plan on making several changes to any theme.
