I'd like to turn 'impossible' to I'm Paws-ible

Hello WA friends!

Yay me, writing my first blog post here! (oh, actually, my 2nd) Yes, I'm trying to say that with some conviction because frankly, I'm a bit disappointed in myself :( It's taking me painstakingly long to get going and finish this training. I work full time, but that's no excuse. I keep getting writer's block when it comes to a 'posting' task! And then, I procrastinate! I find myself doing everything BUT investing time on my website! HELP!

I don't have kids (not for a lack of trying) so I do beat myself up when I see wondermoms out there running a household, acing their full time job, mastering DIY-projects, and hustling an online side gig. Makes me feel like a sloth! I'm also jealous of the incredible talent and courage of the social media phenoms. I've still got a lot to learn, but what I really need is some testicular fortitude! (haha)

Okay, enough complaining, more DOING. I know. I'm going to try and get back at it. I guess I'm also not thrilled that I don't like the look of my site. How do I shnazz it up? I see so many cool layouts on other sites (like wix.com, for example) and wonder if I could do more with mine? I don't know much about wordpress but so far, template looks pretty dull if you ask me! I have tried to focus less on aesthetics and more on learning and building content, but any advice you have for me would be much appreciated! This is my pup - he's the author of pawshtravels.com ;) Thanks in advance!

I like the way you write; you could pass for an author already.
Don't waste much time on your website aesthetics.
I advise you to keep it simple.
Try focusing more on writing quality content.
Thank you for the share.
All the best.

Aww, thank you for the compliment! And the advice! All of it is very welcome!

Just keep on creating unique post Katherine, and you will see the very goos results.

Thanks so much! I will keep on truckin'!!

Hi
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings in your blog
You sound sad and I do understand where you're coming from

You may not be able to have children but beating up yourself is only going to make you feel unhappy.

It would be lovely for you to write down all your strengths and talents and use those to the best of your ability

I can hear the sadness in your blog. I'm not sure what your niche is about but you can use this sadness and write an article on your website and put a positive spin on it.

Social media is another factor that we, myself included, have to research and learn the ins and outs and the factors that makes it successful.

I'm not sure where you are in the training, but you can probably start with creating a Facebook page and share a bit about your journey and the positive aspects of what you are doing and how it can help others.

We can be our own worst critic, and so yes, if we see that we are not making progress, we are often 'beating up yourself,' and 'putting yourself down'

At WA, we do have the option of asking for feedback of our website and also reaching out to any member and asking for some assistance.

Failing that you can ask the awesome community to help or clarify anything that you are stuck on or feel unsure about.

Lastly, the look of your site should be the least of your concern now ;).
That can always come later
You have enough time to sort that out.

I will be following your progress as you go throughout your training
You are a winner
Continue to be consistent in all you do

Appreciate your feedback! I'm not sad though! I've got a furbaby who fills that void for hubby and I. My blog is pawshtravels.com and it's really a dog blog with a travel spin. For dogparents out there who take their furbabies everywhere, it's hard to find helpful travel information about dog-friendly places to stay, eat, play! It's growing as more people will struggle to have kids, it will thus result in more opting to become pet owners. I am trying to chronicle my adventures, but through my pup's perspective :)

So.. no, not sad... more just disappointed I'm not further along! I've got a lot of work to do and I know I have to put the time into it!

So pleased to know
Have a productive weekend

You don't need a snazzy-looking website to make money. You just need to be helping people and answering their questions. Don't worry about writers block either. write it like you were talking to your best friend

appreciate your vote of confidence!
