The Generous Shall Prosper

One of the things I like so much about Wealthy Affiliate is the principle of helping others. When you comment, answer questions, review someone else's website, etc,, you start to see your rank go up. When you see your rank go up it makes you want to do even more for others. I'm sure you could just take advantage of the training here and get by with the bare minimum, but the community side of WA seems to be built on the premise that you move up by lifting others up.

Where did this concept originally come from?

There is an ancient book full of wisdom. Whether you are a believer or not, you have to acknowledge that it's been around a whole lot longer than any of us. The New Living Translation of the Bible says this in Proverbs 11:25: "The generous shall prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed." This word refresh means "to take one's fill, or be satisfied". In other words, those who are willing to help others will be truly satisfied. This is a timeless truth that obviously is still very effective today.

I'm thankful for the community of WA and looking forward to continuing to learn. As I learn and become more familiar with this platform, I want to help many others. How many feel the same way? What are you doing today to refresh someone else, not only at WA, but the people you see face to face every day?
