My Journey Thus Far With WA

Since i joined WA this last August i have been through all the up and down cycles that i am sure most everyone else is and has experienced and will until I, 1.get through all the training, 2.have enough ranked content 3.establish myself well within the community and 4.eventually start landing commissions promoting products and services related to my target niche.

As for progress, i published my first post in mid August and have written 7 more since then. The thing about writing for me is that, when I write a new blog post for my site it's fairly slow process(2 to 3 weeks). There are a few reasons for that: 1.the amount of free time i have available, 2.the many hours of research and cross referencing so as to make sure the information is as accurate as possible. I don't want to disseminate misinformation pertaining to particular topic(if my findings are somewhat conjectured I make a strong effort to make that known and of course, source it), 3. aggregate the information in a way that is reader friendly with links, embedded videos and imagery relative to the content to make it more interesting.

I have had a couple of first page rankings on google so far. Setting up a Google+ has helped with that. In fact, someone I corresponded within the "give and take" comments section posted several of my posts on her Google+ page and one of them is now getting a first page ranking.

As for participation within the community, when I am going through the training(course 2 lessen 10 so far) often, one of the tasks will will be to write a new post for my site. Because of the amount of free time I have available, I spend(as i mentioned before) all my time researching and writing my post, which unfortunately, doesn't leave any time for correspondence during that time as that process takes about 2 weeks or so.

My target niche is health and wellness. I chose that one because it is one that can draw a potentially large audience and I have acquired a certain amount of knowledge on the topic over the years(especially alternative/natural aspects thereof). I work for vitamin supplement factory and plan on promoting their products for starters when i get 5 or 6 more posts finished. I'll probably start with getting an amazon associates account thereafter and get hooked up with other affiliate sites as well. I'm going to shoot for that to get done within the next 3 months. Of course i'm going to move though the rest of the training as i go through that process as well.

After that I'm going to spend more time with community correspondence and really focus on my ambassadorship rankings. I'm going for a 6 month goal to shoot for a ranking of 500. I'm at 10642 right now so, needless to say I have long way to go. Fortunately none of the tasks in lesson 10 call for writing a new post so, i'll be able to spend more time for community correspondence until I can come up with a new topic for my next post.

I want to say that the people in this community that I have exchanged dialogue with so far have ALL been wonderful. I'm very impressed with the outreach in the 3 months i've been here. I'm looking forward to getting more involved moving ahead. I wish the best for others new and fairly new here in hopes they are having a productive and enjoyable experience thus far and moving forward.
