Wow wcavers, that is too bad about Amazon. Hope your stress eases up, but I guess if it were me, i would go to Jaaxy and search for good keywords pertaining to the kind of thing or Niche you are interested in, then when find good key words to help name website, I would search for Affiliates that will not limit you due to what state you live in, and start building website to promote these affiliates even if some of your ideas for promoting come from whatever you started working on to promote Amazon things. Just a thought. Good luck, and I hope your stress level is eased soon. Please do not let Amazon stress you out. Stress is a killer!

Work on adding more content to your website, keep doing the lessons step by step and put Amazon out of your mind. There are other affiliate programs you can subscribe to which pay much better commissions and have longer cookies than Amazon. It's just my guess that you haven't reached the monetization part of the lessons yet so don't put the horse before the cart as the saying goes. Please keep moving forward and don't let this become a stumbling block. ~Marion

I planned to sell Amazon and EBay items on this site.
Here's what happened when I tried to become an Amazon Affiliate :
I hope the "legislation" passes soon. (yeah right) I had started using them back in 2013 before I got notified that they had to drop me as an affiliate.
Amazon is not the only affiliate program you could be looking at. Make out a list of some gadgets that you like then Google gadget +affiliate to find out who is selling those items and also has an affiliate program. Good luck. ~Marion
Just be careful declaring a different address... you could get into serious tax issues here. Amazon is very careful not to fool around with the tax departments.
Wendy, I'm stuck in that crack too living in Arkansas. And I love Amazon and buy lots from them. What a Bummer!
What about using another address for your headquarters? A relative that lives in New York, It doesn't matter where your computer is while you are doing transactions, just that when Amazon sends check to you, it has to go to an address outside of Maine. Even a Bank account in another close state would work.

Those people I know who live in other states are only acquaintances.
An unexpected glitch leaves me in a very awkward position; to ask some one I don't know very well to use their address is weird.

Hey Cali, I will research an address to use with Amazon. I'm not sure about how to use Ebay. This may be a silly question but Can I sell other peoples stuff on Ebay? I have lots to learn !

There are hundreds of people selling other peoples stuff! I wrote an eBook about it to sell on my website, ecommercemakemoneysolutions.com, let me give you an example:
John likes to shop at garage sales. He brings his laptop with him. He sees an item for sale. He gets computer, checks out eBay, if item selling on eBay for much he purchases it for little then writes listing to sell on eBay. He is almost positive to sell item.

Hey as kmer6 just said, that is one option. I think you were more of the thinking of selling other peoples stuff already online. That is what this site is all about. Affiliate marketing and that is why I am going to jump back on Affiliate boot camp and promote this site. The payout is good, very good. And it is something I believe in. This is not a get rich quick scheme, this is a get your hands dirty planting the seeds for tomorrow type of place. Think it through, my best thoughts come in the shower. Now I am getting ready for some yard sales.

I'm really confused because I thought I would have a website I could promote Amazon and Ebay as an affiliate but now I am very disappointed to find out about the glitch with Amazon. I will work on learning about ebay. Feeling a little over whelmed with so much to learn.
I'm thinking, what about... If you had a post office box in another state used that as a company address, that would allow you to be amazon affiliate. You would have to physically go rent po box, then for business expense writeoff you travel once a month to po box to get company mail. ALL LEGAL!
