Veterans - we owe them
I am a veteran. Many of you are also. We provided a service for our country and its people. Now we are older and no longer in that service, but we remember our experiences and value our contribution.
Some, as the memorial stone above remembers, gave their lives for the safety and freedoms of today's populace. Whether for the United States of America, which I served for, or another country. We were willing to do what was necessary.
There are others, our comrades, who didn't die, but lost limbs, or suffered from exposure to chemicals that caused lasting damage or need for medical care (my case). In the US, The Veterans Administration has provided that care and, from my experience, has done a great service to our servicemen and, in this time, honored and still do, by saying, "Thank you for your service", just about every time we go for care. We are not looked at as excess baggage, rather, valuable assets.
I especially want to commend the VA Hospital and staff in Omaha, Nebraska for their care over the last 18 years. They have done an exceptional job and my health has improved wonderfully.
COMPARRISON
Here at Wealthy Affiliate, we have some similar experiences, not that we have physically given our lives for the company, but our commitment is sure and ongoing.
It is possible someone has experienced painful times when it looked like their dream to succeed was in jeopardy and we despaired about our ongoing ability to continue. It was/is then that our community (comrades in arms) came/come to our rescue willingly sharing information to get us through. This experience was/is gained fighting their own battles and winning through.
Some might even need ongoing help to keep moving as life hands them what appear in our aloneness to be impossible. The community doesn't let you face these time on your own. Whether it is difficulty learning and earning, or physical, familial or otherwise, hindered or impaired, WA community wants to help.
Your win is our win!
You are valuable assets to us.
Let me commend Kyle and Carson for creating this close nit community and you, the community, for carrying on the tradition. Thank you for your service!
Warren

wonderfully said Warren. the appreciation of all to your service (and those who serve) cannot be expressed in words. I have not served as you have, but have fought me own personal battles being almost killed in a road accident (hit by a car while training on my bike). Still battling the injuries and always looking to improve, serve and contribute. Now, here I am at WA. Looking forward to sharing the journey with you
Well said. The men and women on the front line deserve our respect and support when they come home, whatever condition they are in. Next war, Iβd like to send the politicians. Could solve 2 problems at once. Thanks for the post and thank you for your service.

What a nice post! I am glad that you have had good experiences with your VA hospital. It is nice to take a few moments to remember those that gave all. None really wanted to die but they were willing to do what was necessary.
WA is a very special community. While I have not been too involved within last couple of years, I remember how people pulled together to help those that were trying to get through difficult times. Of course WA members are there to celebrate the successes also.
May you have a wonderful week
