Feeling Productive
It's funny from week to week how things can feel so different. I was recently laid off from my job and I thought hey - this is the perfect opportunity to put all this extra time into my website. Yes and no. I now have the freedom to work on my website every day, but I also put so much pressure on myself to make things happen this way since I don't have a job to fall back on. But I gave myself a couple days to stop. And recharge. And slow down. It might seem counterproductive but it's been the best thing for me.
I now give myself one or two goals a day - large or small. Can be as little as today I applied for rich pins for Pinterest to help grow my brand. Yesterday, I finally set up an email subscription to my blog. I feel much more accomplished than I had in the last several weeks. I found this to be a much more successful method (for me) than to wake up with 10-15 things I wanted to do. Back on those days, none of my goals got finished - it was just too much.
Break things down into smaller pieces and this doesn't seem so unattainable. One goal at a time - one day at a time.
