The Value in Making Mistakes.
Mistakes. We all make them. Since I started with WA just a month or so ago, I've made more than a few; both technically and on a personal level:
Getting Ahead of Myself
I am enthusiastic by nature. This can lead to skipping ahead or getting easily distracted and losing sight of whatever task it was I originally intended to do. Admittedly, I still find myself doing this on the odd occasion, but when I realise, I just re-focus and get back on track asap.
Technical mistakes
When I started building my site, I'd get frustrated if I made a mistake or couldn't understand why something was, or wasn't happening. I think I just kind of expected things to work perfectly, first time, every time.
The realisation that making mistakes is all part of the process and are actually beneficial, means I now take a more zen-like approach when I run into a problem. Why?- because by making a mistake; realising I've made one; finding the solution and implementing it; I have increased my over all understanding of the picture.
Making mistakes, although sometimes can be a little annoying, does have long-term value. If you're still not convinced, you might want to read this post by Heather Elliot

Learning is an experience, we can only evolve and make better versions of ourselves by experience. So go ahead, make more mistakes it will make the better of you. Is it not that what we say from very old people, the wise man?
Exactly ToLiNoLi. In fact, I'm off to make some now!
