The Beauty of Family

I will start by saying that family is beautiful and it is the most important thing that can happen to us.

When i was born, my Biological mother fell ill and she could not take care of me at all, so her elder sister took me in when i was days old and i always appreciate her so much because she already had four of her own kids. I stayed with this family even after my mother was well and as i grew up i knew i had two mothers, a dad(my aunt's husband)and two brothers and sisters who were infact my cousins.

They brought me up so well that i never once felt like an outsider with them, whenever we would go to visit friends or someone new came home, they would introduce me as their youngest and it felt all so natural.

Note that i was my biological's mother firstborn but i grew up like the youngest child in the family and i got all the benefits that comes with being the last child.

When i started pre-school i registered my uncle's(who i called dad)name as my surname and it is the name that i use up to this day. Now that am all grown, married and i have children of my own,i cannot fathom the love that this family gave me.

Recently my dad(uncle)passed away, may God rest his soul in eternal peace. It was a sudden death, there were no warnings and the worst part of it all is that we had talked several days before his demise and he had promised to come over to my place for the weekend to see his grandchildren. He never got to see the weekend or see his grandchildren. It was so painful and it still is but because of family, we are getting through it step by step, day by day. The bond and the love that is created in a family can surely take us to heights we cannot reach on our own and although sometimes we don't get along, the love keeps us strong and we forgive and continue to share our love.
