What is failure?
What is failure? Failure can be defined as simply quitting, falling and refusing to get up, stopping and refusing to get started again. Before you succeed at anything you will most likely fail a few times first but you will only be a failure if you refuse to try again.
The story is told of Sir Winston Churchill, who near the end of his career was asked to give a speech at his old school. When it was his turn to speak Sir Winston Churchill is quoted as saying 'Young men, never give up. Never give up. Never give up. Never, never,never,never,never,never.' If you had asked Sir Winston Churchill, What is failure? I believe he would have told you that failure is to give up. We must let every potential failure teach us how not to do it again or how to perfect what we are doing.
At the beginning of every new project, you are always filled with excitement and enthusiasm especially when the expected outcome is the promise of financial reward. However, as we put our plans into operation and as the days and week pass with little or no success, the excitement soon begin to wane until some of us will finally quit.
Success is a journey which we embark on and it will not come easy and you will not get the desired result without much effort and diligence. There will be some failure as well as successes along the way but we must stay the course, follow the instructions, put in the work and we will get the desired result. It is really important that we pay attention to the details and really apply ourselves and give it our best. Don't be lazy or take short-cuts and hope for the best, it won't work. What is failure?I say again that failure is only when you quit and give up.
Don't let your hard work, effort and investment go for nothing. Don't let this be another one of those project that you started and refuse to finish. I saw a t-shirt once that had a quote about failure that I like.
Failure - the stage just prior to success.
I really like it and it is true. Most people give up just like you have stated just before they reach success.
Winston Churchill was a master at motivating people to stand up in the face of utter defeat.
