Have you ever been conned?Tell me about it. I have been conned so many times that it would take me a very long time to recall the number of times that I have been conned.

Why do we get conned?

Well there are a multitude of answers to that question but one reason why we get conned is because of gullibility. Some of us are so trusting that when the smooth talking salesman comes along we swallow every word that they say without any proof of the validity of their claims and before we know it we have been conned out of our hard earned money.

Unfortunately, it is very difficult to know who to trust especially in the online world today without the risk of being conned. There are many people online today with bogus get rich quick schemes and countless people are being conned daily.

If anyone tries to introduce you to a system that says you will get you rich quickly and without much effort you should run a mile from them or else you stand a very good chance of being conned or you are being introduced to a way of conning others.

Any system that puts you under severe pressure without the opportunity to prove if what they are saying is true or giving you the opportunity to do your own research or investigation must be viewed with extreme caution as you stand the risk of being conned. I am speaking from experience.

So you must do your research, don't be pressured and make an intelligent decision and avoid being conned.

What amazes me about the individuals who have conned others is their bold, uncaring, hard-hearted attitude. It doesn't matter who it is they are conning, it could be their grand mother, they would still go ahead and con them. They seem to come up with more and more elaborate ways to con people.

These people are motivated by nothing more than selfish greed and have been deprived of any form of care or compassion for others. They just don't care who they trample on or whose life they destroy, all they are interested in is getting rich quick and it doesn't matter who they have conned on the way.

Another thing that contributes to us being conned is desperation.

When you get desperate you are more likely to take uncharacteristic and reckless risks which will usually result with you being conned.

Now risk is important if you are going to succeed at anything; but this kind of risk is calculated and intelligent risk; you have done your research, weighed up the pros and the cons and has made an intelligent decision to pursue a course of action thus minimizing the chances of being conned.

If however you are in a position where you are desperate and feel under severe pressure to do something without any clear thoughts about it then you stand a good chance of being conned. You will make rash and impulsive decisions under pressure that will cost you dearly and you will only realised the gravity of it after you have parted with your money. You have been conned.

The con artist appeals to your emotions and will tell a good story to soften your emotions, but their underlying motive is to get you to spend your money as their is none or little truth to anything that they are saying and before you know it, you have been conned out of your hard earned money.
