if you use all in one wp migration you can take a copy of your site and load it onto a siterubix site...
then work on it - if you tick the box in settings => reading to prevent search engines indexing (Search engine visibility ) this site then it won't be indexed....
after you have finished then you have two options -
1 move the site to your domain
or use the all in one wp migration to 'copy ' it back
make sure you know how to use the migration tool before you start

but unles you have a specific reason to do this it is better to build your site online - indexing as you go along and getting visitors to guide the direction of your site.....

I got a staging copy of my website done by Site Support. It is a duplicate using the Site Rubix domain. They even set it up so that Google won't see it.
