"Now He's Everywhere" Sean Lennon
This morning I was watching a documentary about the death of John Lennon. This is one of the most senseless tragedies in our time. I feel like John Lennon had so much more to do. His message was one of peace and happiness for everyone. Why someone would single him out for an act of violence is beyond anything I can imagine. Not only was he a great artist and visionary, he was just a great man. He had the ability to see the world for what it could be instead of what it is. Tears streamed down my face when I heard what little five year old Sean said when he was told his dad had died. "Now he's everywhere." Isn't that the most beautiful way to look at such a horrible thing. It was almost like his dad was speaking through him. I believe John would have been so proud in that moment. He really is everywhere. If we could all see things a little more like John and little Sean, the world might be a very different place. Just listen to the lyrics of "Imagine". It gets me everytime.
