The African Hunting Dog

BEHAVIOR

The African Hunting Dog is commonly known as a WILD DOG. Wild dogs Fierce predators, for their looks and size. They are innocent and beautiful looking dogs.They LIVE in packs . Their PACKS can vary between 2 to 20. These animals are HIGHLY ORGANIZED hunters,which have a high stamina.They can chase PREY at 35 m/h ,taking turns when the lead chaser is tired. They have a tendency of tearing the flesh of a prey until the animal fall down.Wild dogs will start devouring the animal before it dies.

Wild Dogs are skillful fighters, they are able to take over the kill,even from HYENAS. This morning on DSTV Chanel, l have see a FABULOUS SHOW. The hyenas were scavenging on an Elephant carcass. They about 7 hyenas ,these wild dogs came with their cups to the waterhole to drink.

They coincidentally found these hyenas feasting on a dead elephant. The wild dogs approached the carcass with their ears lowered and started attacking one hyena. I saw the hyena spinning around in the attempt to protect its back and hind legs. They these with unism and precision. The matriarch Hyena could not stand the HEAT, it had to flee with wild dogs hot on its heels.

NO WILD DOG HAS THE SAME BODY MARKS LIKE THE OTHER

They came for the remaining hyenas and did just the same. The pups were watching over this demonstration of skillful attacks,with high interest.I WAS IMPRESSED

I always knew that hyenas are taking over the kills,even from LIONS. I could never think that these WILD DOGS could do that to HYENAS.
