When to Delete Or Keep Pinterest Pins
As you make more and more Pinterest pins, few will perform well and most won't. You'll want to delete the ones which aren't performing well and keep making more, adding more high performing ones and getting rid of ones that aren't doing well, so that ultimately you have boards that are filled with good performing pins. Here's how to do that:
- Make sure the pin is at least 1-2 months old
- Click on it in whichever board it's in
- Click "see more stats" and look at the outbound clicks
- If in a 30 day period, it's gotten a low number of clicks (we're talking single digits), get rid of it
Remember our ultimate goal with Pinterest is to get TRAFFIC from there to our site and if the outbound clicks are too little (or nothing), there's no point in keeping it around.

Hi Vitaliy, thank you for sharing this great video. Just a question, please. How many outbound clicks are enough to keep the pin and not delete it? 10? 20? Less?
It depends on how many impressions, saves and pin clicks it gets ultimately. If you're getting 1k impressions and 30+ clicks a month, I'd keep it.
