Canva is an awesome asset to our online business and in this case, can be used to create awesome looking thumbnails for our YouTube videos.

Thumbnails are preview images that are attached to our videos and when you have good looking thumbnails added to your videos, it can have a very positive effect on it's reach and results.

With Canva, you can access their database of countless professional looking thumbnails and then simply insert your own text and images to use, thereby cutting down on the time to make them yourself and already using existing, awesome looking ones!

Good morning Vitaliy,

Thank you for the Canva training video, it's appreciated.

Canva is a great tool and I really only use a small percentage of what it can do, I believe. I do virtually all my YouTube thumbnails using Canva, I have also created a few with ChatGPT. I'm wondering if at the speed ChatGPT is improving, will we need Canva eventually!

It's interesting that you mention putting yourself on the thumbnail, Vitaliy, I've noticed that Roope and Mikael do this, which would suggest it's beneficial.

Have a great day.

Roy

Yeah it helps raise trust Roy. When people see a real person behind the video and a thumbnail on top of that, it helps with brand recognition (in this case the person).

Yes, I hear you, Vitaliy, it actually makes me think! I have always been one for showing my face in an actual video, I just have a small picture of myself and then share my screen. I think it's nice to know who you are dealing with and showing a picture of yourself definitely helps to bring recognition.

I appreciate the heads up.

All the best.

Roy

Love this Vitaliy... Canva is one of my favourite tools and with your advice it's only going to increase its significance for me!

Enjoy a wonderful weekend my friend! :-)

Thanks you too!

Hello Mr G, I just acquired Canva, not really familiar with it, I was trying to put a template here in comments, and was not successful. What's the best way to do that?

Hi Timothy so if you're trying to share what you made in Canva, you first need to download the image. Once you do, then when you type a comment here, click on the clip underneath the comment next to the post button and it will ask you to upload that image. Give this a shot and let me know how it goes.

Thank u, I will try that!

Thanks, MRG, I got it!

Nice!

Hi Vitaliy,

I have done a ton of videos on YouTube but I hate to admit this, but where do you put the thumbnail in? I have not done this before. I looked my videos and I do not see a place where it asks for thumbnails.

It is a fantastic idea and I really want to start doing this.

Thank you,
Mike

Hi Mike this is available in the upload section when you first upload your video for publishing and you can do it post as well. I'll make a video on this for tomorrow for more details, it's easy :)

Great. Thank you

Thank you
