Pinterest boards are places where you can organize your pins into. Pins are any picture and video content we create on Pinterest. Making boards becomes a very good practice overtime when we have many different pins on a lot of different subject matter.
For example:
If I have many pins on the Oregon Coast, I'll make a Pinterest board called "Oregon Coast" or something along those lines to organize those pins into. I'll do the same thing for any other pins in another subject that warrants making it's own board for that.
Making Pinterest Boards can have a positive effect on your account's exposure on Pinterest in multiple areas including people who visit your account to go through it better and see what they like and share it or save it to their board, all the way up to Pinterest itself showcasing your content and ranking it better too.
