Are You Afraid To Walk The Streets At Night?
Hello my friends-
Just a question-do you feel safe walking around your town/city at night? Unfortunately I no longer do. I have spent most of my life in this small city and things were great.Times have changed.
When I was younger it was like living in Mayberry. All the people were very friendly and quick to help a neighbor in need. You could always count on a friendly hello-or an invite in for a coffee as you were walking by.The kids were very respectful and tried to avoid getting in trouble. They played outside-road hockey-baseball cricket-riding their bikes and having fun.
Now, the last few years my small city has changed. I hardly ever see kids outside playing. There are so many homeless and people with mental illness walking the street. But the big problem is gangs of kids-14-20 yrs old-harassing everyone. At night people are being beaten and robbed. People walking home from the grocery store are having their food stolen.I Can't believe how bad its gotten.Crackheads looking disgusting harassing people for no reason. Prostitution has moved into the open and they all look awful and strung out but that doesn't stop them from running up to every car that stops at a corner.Still the worst part is the stabbings and beatings that seem to happen almost every night.
So are you safe?

This topic makes me want to explode! I live in rural Manitoba and it is shocking at what goes on . The RCMP will not run out of work. What's the answer? Perhaps that is the next niche market.
It is my hope that WA gives everyone purpose and direction so we have something to do with our thoughts rather that chaos.

You couldn't have said it better. It seems quite similar in my area, maybe not quite as bad though.
