Vicki, a member and myself have already talked about trading affiliate links to purchase from each other. (Raymaker) I've been using his Amazon link to purchase some stuff from Amazon.

I think it would be very nice to have a place that we could shop from each other's affiliate links.

However we cannot post our own affiliate links on WA.
Maybe someone could build a WA member shopping website that would have links to various members favorite shopping areas and affiliate links from different members who are affiliates of those online stores.

Like myself for instance. I buy from Amazon all the time and I would be glad to take turns clicking on members affiliate links to purchase my stuff.

Would you like to create a website with affiliate links from various members to various online stores. Or I could, or we could work on it together. We could use a free siterubix.com site and create a guest account so more than one person could update it I think.

If members are interested, I think it would be great. I would just as soon do my online purchases from WA members affiliates links and give them some of my money.

A simple site with just lists of the popular online stores and a general affiliate link to the site from various members. I'm sure lots of members have Amazon affiliate accounts and we could list each members affiliate link and take turns when purchasing through amazon by clicking on different links, that way everyone could receive $$ from our purchases.

Vicki, nice sentiment, but it might turn out like a Facebook avenue of ads or I should say the Metropolis of ads amazing. I know where you are coming from I think the best way if you want to buy a Mobile phone or shoes or whatever, just make an announcement that you are looking for this or that. I am sure people in here who have such a site would send you a private message telling you where their site might be. That way we won't get so much traffic of advertisers in here. I can see the logic of your post, it's a nice idea, but unfortunately, I suspect Barry's comment is right. It could be a case of unintended consequences and potentially open a Pandora's box of spam. That said, if you ever feel like buying a hovercraft via my site, please feel free to do so, lol.

I think you may find that although your idea is well intentioned, the main reason that WA is so popular is that we do not sell to each other and while you may be genuine as to what your motives are this is the internet and its open to all so there is no way of monitoring this activity

Before you know it there are posts all over WA with affiliate links on them, that's just the nature of the internet its unregulated and there will always be people trying to scam the system

I have had PMs from members trying to get my private email address with dodgy business opportunity's
I have invited members of WA into my Facebook only to get bombarded with sales pitches for products
I am afraid WA is not full of angles, its just full of ordinary people and many of these people just try to make a quick buck

I know this is uncomfortable to hear but its what I have learned through bitter experience and not just my opinion

WA should remain outside this and lets just help each other without money being involved, the best help you can give is not money, its time and support,so lets give that and leave WA as the one and only business forum in the world, where in most part we just help each other because we want to and not for profit

That's what makes WA so unique and to me very precocious

Yes, I just signed up as with an independent travel affil program, and just BEING an affiliate allows me to get a discount, too! Maybe I'm just think of adsense. And Amazon.

I think it's a great idea! I posted the other day asking for an affiliate of Aweber for that reason.
