Email still works! It is more effective than social media. Every honest internet marketer knows that email generates more results than all the social media sites put together..

At the end of 2015, Forrester Research wrote that email is up to 40 times more powerful than all the social media combined.

By the way, Forrester is a US technology and market research company advising on the impact of technology on clients and the general public.

Don't ever build on rented land because then you won't own the building. So why build your online business on social media followings? You don't own it, do you?

But if you build your online business by populating your own email database, you'll have a secure business foundation.

Click thieves can't steal or interfere with your communications with people on your email list.

But you have to be careful and to keep everyone on your list happy. You do this by communicating regularly and maintaining trust and credibility by NOT being sales-pushy.

Use a series of non sales-pushy emails that connect to each other in a story. These will be judged to be sent by a 'real person' and will easily build your reputation.

Get this right and it will often be possible to achieve a response rate 2,000 percent higher than the industry average.

That's because real people respond — not some robots, and most certainly not hired, unthinking, click-thieving Asian workers!

So, to achieve real success in internet marketing, you need to look at YOURSELF.

YOU the business owner. YOU the brand ambassador. YOU need to deliver REAL content and tell REAL stories.

Here's the thing: your delivery method should be as follows:-

• One-sixth SEO
  
• One-half Email to your list

There you go. It's all down to the effort that YOU put into your online business.
