Click Theft on the Net Part 1

I've been doing a bit of digging around lately, looking for the answers to questions I have concerning what I call 'click theft' on the net.
My concerns are about fraudulent activities by many online companies and individuals. You see, I believe that genuine, honest, hard working affiliate marketers are being hit by online criminals and gangsters masquerading as something appearing to be 'normal'.
By appearing to be normal, gullible search engines and social media networks such as Google and Facebook fail to notice the fraudulent activities of these thieving low-life types.

I bet few people even notice the evil activity going on right under their noses. Even us at WA.
But I do. I now understand why paid advertising costs so much, and why worthless content often appears on page 1 of the SERPs under particular search terms whilst our good, honest content is buried deep down on page 10, say.
‘Click theft’ is a serious issue. It is something we ALL should be complaining about because it costs us money, eats away at our time, and makes searching for appropriate information so much harder.
Google says that it is desperate to serve only the most useful results on search terms. Yet their ranking algorithms clearly benefit only the nefarious thieves and cheats.
The extent of this nasty practice is rampant. Basically, there are teams and teams of ignorant, thick or desperate people stealing our traffic. They are hired by 'click hijackers' who are building their networks at the expense of others like you and me.
This traffic is even sold to bidders. That could even be you, but you wouldn't know it.
