Hi. If I want to use a previously used domain which was indexed and ranked in the past, would it be re-indexed and ranked?

Yes it would. But be careful if you are buying used domains.

Hi Jane. Thank you. Could you tell me why I should be careful....?

Some domains might have spam backlinks and it won't help in your rankings at all. In fact, people drop that domain name because they might have been penalized by Google.

Thank you Jane. I understand. Fortunately, it's my own domain name. Just forwarded it in the past and haven't used it for a while. Would like to use it again for personal branding.

No problem. Won't be an issue then.

I don't I see the facebook like button on the top of my WA pages. Please help....

I have the same problem and I use Chrome....maybe because I use an I-pad?

I use the Social Media Feather plugin. It is fairly easy to use and has good instructions for the setup. You can pick where you want the buttons and if you want the Share, Follow, or both buttons for all the social media sites.

Hi Rickie. Thank you. Maybe we have our lines crossed. I'm referring to the FB like button here at WA(at the top right on lesson and question pages).

Please see attached.....

I'm sorry, my misunderstanding. That would probably be question for tech support. Have you tried a different browser to see if it shows up there?

Hi Rickie. Thank you. Never thought of checking my browsers, as I haven't noticed it before and Firefox normally doesn't have any issues.

Anyway, it shows on Google Chrome....(-;

Will check what the issue is on Firefox.

Thanks a lot Rickie.....!

You're welcome. I have problems with some stuff so I have IE, Chrome, and Firefox installed for different situations. Pain the butt but not much you can do about it. :-)

Thank you once again....(-;

It all depends on which plugin you are using and where you tell it to place your buttons.

Thank you. Just don't know how to go about the plugin set up....)-;

Your not going to see it on your profile page but it should be at the top right on lesson and question pages.

Yes, I know. Just don't know how to get it showing.......Thanks!

Is it good practice to inform your visitors that a specific link on a page/post is an affiliate link, and that you would receive a small commission on the sale....?

As I read it, an affiliate disclosure is required under Federal Trade Commission guidelines:

Q:
I’m an affiliate marketer with links to an online retailer on my website. When people read what I’ve written about a particular product and then click on those links and buy something from the retailer, I earn a commission from the retailer. What do I have to disclose? Where should the disclosure be?

A:
If you disclose your relationship to the retailer clearly and conspicuously on your site, readers can decide how much weight to give your endorsement.

In some instances – like when the affiliate link is embedded in your product review – a single disclosure may be adequate. When the review has a clear and conspicuous disclosure of your relationship and the reader can see both the review containing that disclosure and the link at the same time, readers have the information they need. You could say something like, “I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post.” But if the product review containing the disclosure and the link are separated, readers may lose the connection.

As for where to place a disclosure, the guiding principle is that it has to be clear and conspicuous. The closer it is to your recommendation, the better. Putting disclosures in obscure places – for example, buried on an ABOUT US or GENERAL INFO page, behind a poorly labeled hyperlink or in a “terms of service” agreement – isn’t good enough. Neither is placing it below your review or below the link to the online retailer so readers would have to keep scrolling after they finish reading. Consumers should be able to notice the disclosure easily. They shouldn’t have to hunt for it.

Thanks BobBarr. Clear answer. I perfectly understand now. Thanks a lot..... (-;

Why not, just in case they're looking for an affiliate program. Leave nothing on the table.

Thank you.....I understand. I was actually referring to when potential buyers visit your site. Specifically normal buyers and not other IM's'.

Would the mentioning that you earn a commission, affect your sales...?

Or should you just remain silent regarding your affiliate links...?

I just either learning disclaimer on my sites to say that I am a possibly get commissions from referrals. I also say it is no use to you immediately and will not help improve your business don't buy it

Thank you... (-;
