Organization and Productivity
Today was a complete bust! I feel like today must have been the least productive day -ever-. I got back into doing lists, and was only able to do two items on it. Le sigh. I decided that my list needed to be revamped. So, I turned it into a log. Why? I have so many things that I need to get done and a list just doesn't cut it.
So, I sat down at my laptop and wrote out everything that I need/want to accomplish in Excel. I mean everything. I went through and gave everything a label such as Home, Work, Family, School, etc. Then I added due dates and other pertinent information. Once I had everything labelled, I made other pages in my workbook for them. Finally, I went through each page and made priority labels.
I've linked it to my calendar, so that every day, it gives me a pop-up telling me to check my list and a link to it. Yay for technology! I've also just recently discovered Trello, which I think might also be very useful as an organizational tool as well. So far, I'm feeling really optimistic about being able to finally feel like I can be productive, which leads to you actually becoming productive, you know? It also feels much better to know that at a glance I can tell what I need to be doing next. Whether it's for my nursing program or for my websites. Cutting back on that procrastination before it overwhelms is something I haven't quite mastered, but I'm getting there.
Lately, I've been reading posts from other people across multiple platforms and it seems that now is the time that everyone is trying to reorganize. I'm wondering if it's because of the eclipse earlier this week, or maybe because Winter is Coming. Either way, I'm glad to see it. Getting organized always motivates.

Now you just need to organize all of those organizational tools!
I'm off to a good start. I was doing the sticky note method.
