Here's an interesting question asked in Quora and an awesome technique which I wanted to share with you today.You can use it for the rest of your life when you'll be learning something new.

The power of visualization.
Let’s take an example. Do the following finger sequence once with your eyes open.
- Touch your thumb to forefinger
- Touch your thumb to ring finger
- Touch your thumb to middle finger
- Touch your thumb to pinkey finger.
Now close your eyes and imagine your fingers doing this, without physically moving your fingers. Repeat it 20 times in your mind.
Open your eyes. Now try the sequence with actually moving your fingers.
You’ll find that you can do the finger sequence pretty well, even though you only physically did it once. You’ve learned the sequence without actually physically practicing it, but with the power of your mind.
Why is this?
The neurons firing in our brain cannot tell the difference between simply imagining the sequence versus doing it. It’s all the same to our brain. This is done without actually doing the thing, but achieves a similar result.
This means that we can still learn something without actually doing it. Visualization is a very, very powerful technique.

And sure, visualization goes further than just memorising sequences of actions. Though it's important too, of course.
Visualization is a powerful instrument in reaching success.
Believe in creative visualization.
Visualize the thing you want. See it, feel it, taste it, savor it, believe in it. Imagine you already have it.Visualize the positive consequences of your having it .

Thanks, Craig, but I wouldn't agree that it's simple. Maybe, when you have practiced it long enough.But it's really awesome that our brain doesn't see the difference between the action and imagining the action...How very powerful it is!:))..

Great post! I am a firm believer of visualization and the benefits of using it. I try to incorporate it daily in getting closer to my goals!
Visualization is a Powerful thing. I live by it daily. That's why I can see my success unfold right before my eyes, with No Problem.

Awesome post, I'm actually working on a few things right now. Does visualization work very well when it you give it a dead line, like .... I want a specific car by my birthday, ......I want to be debt- free by a certain date?
Yeah, that's an important principle of goal setting, and visualization is rather a tool in achieving the goal.:)
