Progress update: April 12, 2018

Hey WA community!

As many of you have most likely done before, I am posting to give my progress update since joining this platform. I'll try to keep things short and sweet!

How things are going...

Since joining, the blog I created (prior to joining WA) has taken on a whole new level. Let's just say, I no longer feel as if I am wandering the wilderness blind, mute, and lost. I am starting to gain confidence in my writing and have hope that I will be able to make money... one day at least.

I am enjoying the lessons, and like that they urge you to write more or participate in the community. WA won't give you the option to hide in the corner, it pushes you to take advantage of what it has to offer, and then "pay it forward".

My niche..

Currently, my blog is about traveling, and yes, I realize there are about a bajillion blogs out there related to traveling. I am still working on narrowing down my niche. Until then, I am going to be writing about my experiences, including giving the reader tips, itineraries, and any other travel related help I can.

Currently, I am traveling in New Zealand, and thus, most of my posts have been about my adventures there. However, I am excited to be heading to China and Bali later this year!

Successes?

As of now, I see any comment, like, share, or even view of my site as a success. It means I reached someone.

Even if that person is just my mom... (thanks for reading mom!)

Each notification that someone commented on my work, makes me feel as if I can do this! Perhaps one day, I'll be able to look back and remember what it was like to be pleased about a single comment on one of my posts. Until that day, I keep on keeping on!

Plans and Goals... 3 months..

In the next three months, I am hoping to have completed the following:

• finish all the WA trainings
  
• incorportating vlogging into my blog as well consistently creating content
• make any kind of money, even if it is $0.50

I think this is doable, eh?

Plans and Goals... 6 months..

Assuming I was able to accomplish the above goals, in 6 months, I would like to have achieved:

• a decent following of my blog
  
• consistant income (even if it is a nominal amount)
• getting ranked well in google

I am optimistic of these goals! I know with help of this community, I can accomplish it and more.

Well folks... now you know..

This concludes my progress update! Here's to hoping I will keep my word and do the damn thing!
