Blog moving Home Page information to bottom.
I have attached my link http://ridingpatrails.com/ can someone please take a look and tell me how to prevent my blog from pushing my Home page information to the bottom of the page. I don't like the look, not sure how to correct. Thank you in advance for your help Veronica

I think if you want the homepage to have fixed post you have to put a sticky, it is on the editing page, see trialynn is giving you a link to training hope it all goes well
it's strange - a few people have noted that the first time they try to load the page it doesn't load correctly (incomplete, etc.) The second time it loads like it should. This happened when I viewed it too. I'm not sure if someone else has a suggestion about that? Is it maybe the theme you're using?
cannot help out with this one for I have not had this sort of problem , I hope someone can help you work it out
The first time I tried to load the page it was slow and incomplete, the second went much better but still seemed slow. I agree with you about the look of the page.
Not sure, but this may help you make something a bit more appealing of the very top of your page.

I didn't like the way it looked either, but everyone says that Blog Roll is the way to go, so I fought with it for a day or two lol but I finally got it. You can do static, but I think ( at least I am ) going to listen to Kyle and other and stick with the blog roll. You can have "pages" that stay put and you can use those for information that you want to stay in onep place. I think having the new posts on top dose keep it fresh for visitors... just my two cents though :-)
Digger12 I understand wanting to keep it fresh. However I did not want my photo to move down the page. In addition to the short statemet of why I developed the site.
Hi. This has occurred because you posted your "Home Page" as a blog post, not a page. Blog posts get moved down the blog roll with each new post and get archived at the end of the month (it won't appear on the page.)
One solution is that you could sticky the Post, it will remain at the top that way (edit the post and in the right margin under publish are options for what type of post it is.)
Otherwise you should make a static home page and write that information on it. The method of editing a home page depends a lot on the Theme. Let me know if you want help with doing that.

I just used FF browser and it came up perfectly. I guess you either fixed it or its a browser issue.
