Subscriptions probably wont' help. What may help is if people keep coming back to the site and spending time on it. Google will see that as you providing relevant content.

What Victor (@lucovico) said is correct, that subscriptions won't mean much. But what you can do to leverage that is when sending out your follow ups/broadcasts, make the meat of your message within your website and use the email to get them to your website. This will help in rankings as Google will see they are repeat visitors.
