Let's Help Raise Cancer Awareness

Just a reminder, and in case you did not know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Kudos to those of you or the people that you know, who have beaten this beast of burden. I know that we are all rooting for Carson, that Kai would have an absolute and full recovery from his own battle.

Clearly cancer does not discriminate, since it hits just about anyone.

I have experienced a member of my family having, so I have a little insight of what it can be like. It's often a scary thing for most people to deal with, hearing that they've got the dreaded big C. Even waiting for the medical test results can be debilitating for some people.

But the thing is, early detection often plays a key role in beating this disease.

FACT: 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime? 1 in 8! That's way too high and I think a really good enough reason for us all to get involved and raise awareness one way or another.

Wear your pink ribbon, volunteer, take part in walkabouts, or help with fundraising, or anything else that your time allows you to do. Remember one act of kindness can make a difference to thousands.

WE CAN BEAT this!

Hello Vanessa, thank you for your post 6 years ago. My wife had cancer 10 years ago, and through surgery, prayer, and healthy living, we are living a happy life together, and on our path to self-mastery and compassion for ourselves. Thanks again for this post. It brings up a lot of memories and emotions for me. Rupert.

Hi Vanessa what a great post ,thank you for the reminder . We as men have mothers , sisters , friends , partners and wives . We should be mindful and give of our thoughts and deeds . I am sure that one day that inroads will be made and breast cancer will be beaten .
