Latest Craze-Craft Beer
If I were to say to you.. Have you had a Heady Topper today? What images would come to your mind? Now lets keep our thoughts clean my friends LOL.
In a quiet New England town, Waterbury Vermont to be exact, comes a beer so unforgettable that website and BeerAdvocate rates it the third highest -rated beer in the WORLD!!! Very impressive considering we are talking about a town which boasts a population the size of 5,000. The Alchemist Brewpub where this beer was being sold closed suddenly in 2011 due to the devastating flood caused by Hurricane Irene. This, however, did not stop the Kimmiches from carrying on. They rented out space, making way for the Prohibition Pig.
The coolest part of this whole affair is that the Kimmiches maintain their small town appeal while producing world class beers, including the all popular Heady Topper. What makes this most appealing is their dedication to quality, not quantity. Being concerned about quality and freshness, the beer is not sold a long distance from it's source due to concerns about the loss of quality and freshness which is of upmost importance for the Heady Topper.
So if you ever find yourself in the beautiful State of Vermont, be sure to check out The Alchemist Brewery located on scenic route 100 in Waterbury. Also while there be sure to sample 6 other World class beers by brew master Shaun Hill of Hill Farmstead, whose beers rank on Ratebeer.com's 25 top double IPA's list.

Personally I am in upstate NY, lived in Bennington VT back in the mid 80's, I think all the craft brewing going on these days is awesome. I no longer imbibe but my wife still enjoys & I still use quality wines, beers and ales in my cooking so I do appreciate the heads up, I am always looking for new and interesting flavors.

Hi GFHaze. Thanks for your response and I will look to get in tourch with Nathaniell. Bennington as is all of Vermont a very beautiful place as well as is Upstate NY. I enjoyed writing this little blog. Hope all is well with your business. I am still relatively new to this. There is so much to learn.
