Hi - any niche has the potential to be lucrative, depending on how much time and effort you put into your website. Remember, you will be expected to write a lot of content for your website. There is no point choosing a niche you are not interested in, as you will soon get bored. Pick something you are passionate about.
You're welcome. (My boyfriend is lead guitarist in a heavy metal band so music is a big part of my life)
Cool! I’m thinking about developing a niche around music... I’d appreciate any thoughts you or your boyfriend might have.
Jam On!

Hi - guitar accessories would be great. Perhaps focus on one area, strings, straps, cables, cases, stands etc. Or a tutorial site, learn to play. Or setting up a home studio, that could include all the electronics. Lots of ideas!
Hi...yeah, I thought about strings too because any musician that plays a stringed instrument purchases strings on a regular basis.
Thanks again DianeScorpio!
Ya know there’s only so much to write about relating to strings. Could I tangent off on my blog and write about music, artists, songs, lyrics, etc or could I get in trouble if I wrote about some copyrighted lyrics, for example, for plagiarism, or some weird laws ...you seem to be well informed on how all this stuff works... I hope you don’t mind me asking... I absolutely appreciate your advice.

Hi - yes, anything music related would tie in nicely. In fact, some of your website pages should be purely informational, with no selling intentions.
However, as you say, copyright has to be considered. Images are the main problem. All photos have to be copyright-free, and these are difficult to find for branded products or celebrities.
What guitar do you have? My boyfriend has three, but his pride and joy is his original 1972 Gibson SG.
Cool! That’s great! I would love to write about music! And yes, I will be very careful about images. I have an old Gibson SG too! I bought it from a guy for $250 about 35 years ago. It was slightly damaged and scared up, but I had it worked on and it plays great now. My son plays guitar, so I gave it to him for his birthday several years ago when he was going through some rough times. I’ve got a Fender Strat, but I mostly play acoustic. I’ve got three acoustics...my Martin D35 is my fav.
Thanks so much... I’m kinda getting excited ‘bout this...Y’all keep rockin that SG!
