The Granny Sack

I wanted to offer a word of encouragement and advice to folks just starting out here on WA. I will be on here quite a bit from now on as I am starting to get very serious about building content and getting my websites running. I have done this backwards...but, it's okay. I am sitting here in my "granny sack" (the nightgown my husband hates), with that inevitable cup of coffee-looking very rough I assure you; but, it's okay. Yesterday was not a good day at all and very discouraging; but, it's okay.

This whole thing is a process. Look back over my previous blogs and you can see the dilution process I have gone and am going through to reach my goals. My process will be different than yours-the underlying current that will lead to success and get you there is perseverance.

When I started my journey into AM-I knew nothing. Now, when I look at where I am-it is amazing. One of my non-financial goals is my family (kids especially) are a priority over everything. So, the product I am working on has taken 3 years. Like yesterday (in my bad feel-sorry-for-me moments) I was thinking, without kids I could have had this puppy done in a year. But, I haven't given up-part of the process was myself.

I am a far better writer. My art has been taken to new levels. I have confidence in what I am doing. Is it earning me a million dollars, no, not yet...but, it is going to do something. You have to give yourself time to grow. You have to look at yourself as part of the learning process, not just making money.

But, you can make money while you learn.

So, that was the encouragement; here's the advice.

One of the best books I have read that fueled me by realizing this whole process takes time and hard-work is "How to Get Rich" by Felix Dennis. Get it and read it. It is my bible.

Whatever area you fell discouraged in; like you can't write, or you want to learn research...you can make money while you learn this. It is for someone else, but consider yourself back in college...honing your craft. Look for opportunities to make money while you learn. A few websites that come immediately to mind...Workathomenoscams.com...Eddy Salomon (sp?) and Bum Marketing with Travis. He's quirky-you'll like him. He's great to learn about keyword search. There is multiple ways to earn an income, even quit the day job, as you work toward your goals. I've done it and you can do it.

WA, of course. The reason I have kept my premium membership, even though I've been in and out of here over the last four years is-THIS IS NO SCAM. This is the best place to learn. It is the best place to network and stay current with everything. Kyle and Carson are the cutting edge. In the last four years, this website has gone through many transformations as they keep you the member up on everything. IT IS REAL.

It's funny. I used to look at encouraging blog posts, thinking-I will never be there. But, if I can help you in any way let me now. I have no ego. In many ways, I am just a beginner...there is always the next level. Like I said, I am going back through the training myself as I really get serious about building content. That project is overwhelming. It's going to take me awhile. I will be in my granny sack many mornings and nights. But, it is a niche I am passionate about, it is establishing me as an authority, even in the brick-and-mortar world, and I am getting paid for the research as I am going along (just make sure that you rewrite and don't plagiarize for your own website-if someone pays you to write...it is their published work).
