no...once you upgrade to premium you cannot downgrade back to free member. You have to cancel your membership and re-sign up later

Because of financial and time problems I need to unsubscribe from WA. What is the proper process?
So sorry to hear that you are leaving. All you need to do is go into your Account Settings (click on your photo in the upper right corner) and then under Subscription Settings click on manage. This is where you can choose to close your account. Wishing you the best. Michelle
