It's Been a Few Days

Moving Week

After seeing a woman for a few months, we decided to get a place together. As she had the better day job, and my apartment wouldn't allow for her dog, cat and 15 year old son, we found a bigger place in her town. I decided I would look for work nearby.

This is the first time I had to move two complete homes into one.

We packed a car three times at my place and four times at her's, and we still filled a 26' truck to the door. It was Saturday from 4:30PM until Sunday at 7:00PM.

There was also the juggling act of having two homes worth of utilities unhooked and one set connected at the new place.

In the middle of all that, I didn't have any time or space to work on my sites. I already had one that was suffering from neglect (40% publishing rate), that I am contemplating selling. It ranks in Google, gets traffic and Amazon clicks, I'm just much more interested in my second site.

So, my 40% dropped to 30% and my 100% dropped to 90%. This wasn't a shock or really any problem at all. But, after 5 days of not doing any work, it feels like I have to force myself to get back into it.

The Moral of the Story

Life happens.

When it does, don't let it throw you off your path to greatness.

Keep in your head, "I am still doing this, I am still doing this..."

As soon as you can, get back into your groove. Find your path again and push forward.

Do NOT give up. Do NOT get comfortable not doing what it takes.

Let this be the start of a wonderful new chapter in your lives!
Yes indeed, the initial effort of running a website can be like bring a freight train up to speed. One going, you have momentum.

I wish the best in your new place and
happy to see you back.

Have a great day!
Ingrid

Hope you settled now. Enjoy the new place, and catch up.

Moving is tough and hard work, takes time to settle in and get organised. Well done getting back to work after 5 days,

Excellent post from the real world, good luck to you both in your new home.
Stuart

Hope all goes well with your new family. Great points made - absolutely the only way. I had a period of 44 daily visits to the hospital each day for Cancer treatment and each day this took 4 to 5 hours of my time (inc travel) and you just have to find ways around this. That is something i love doing and did find solutions to this, it pays in the end.

My mother died of cancer when I was 17, after fighting for 5 years. I know how difficult that can be, even though she did her best to not show it.

I hope for and wish you the best outcome.

Yes, I concur with C&P. Get you groove on,🎶🎵🎶How exciting for your blessed family. I wish you nothing but happiness, and back at WA... Success!!
Yay Us Indeed!! 🌟
