Don't get stumped -Ideas for your blog
I was looking blankly at my page again and wondering what I was going to post about. After all, it's content I need so I better come up with something or this will be short-lived.
Still, the words don't come when there is no inspiration and one way to help inspiration is to know what it is you will be talking about.
When I open the editor, all I see is a cursor flashing and that does not always make me inspired, to say the least.
So, I was looking at the page and the cursor was flashing, reminding me of the time that passes, like the ticking of a clock would do, but in the dead of space.
I just decided the best way to really get something started was to outline the work I was going to do.
So I took some paper and a pencil (still have those), and I started to make a list of what my blog is going to talk about. I tried to cover as much as I could on the subject I have chosen and while sitting on the couch casually watching videos came up with 40 ideas for my blog that I can develop. The first 25 or so came rather spontaneously, I just ended up watching videos related to the subject to help me find 15 more.
Although a bit counter-intuitive, I found that having something in the background actually helps me come up with ideas. More than shutting myself up to the world and trying to "concentrate". It may have to do that ideas come up to me at these odd moments, I am not quite sure what it all means.
So that's an idea I wanted to share with you. If you want to build some sort of "bank of ideas", this can be done quite simply and you wil be able to focus on other tasks, rather than waiting for inspiration to come. An added benefit is that you can tell readers in advance what will be the next subject of your blog. Even if other posts come up spontaneously in the meantime, I think it makes it look more professional.

Yeah I sometimes watch tv while doing certain tasks. Kinda helps my mind wander a bit... sometimes I need that.
