For the Moment Take Money out of the Equation

Writing this as much to remind myself of what I know and maybe helpful for those of us new to this. The deeper I immerse myself into the WA training the more interesting it becomes and the more curious I become about the potential of what I have decided to do here.Though we all have different expectations and reasons we are here, at some level one aspect is common among us all. Money!!!! How much? How soon? When can I work from the beach or golf course or home? Bigger house, newer car, dream vacation? Truly amazing where our imagination will go to with the thought of money isn't it? It is ok to let our mind roam a bit. That is the basis of goal setting. However, as we know goals without action are unfulfilled dreams.This is the basis of my writing today.

I have personally trained hundreds of people in sales over the past 20 plus years and one of the things I remind new people of early in that training is to "for now take money out of the equation". What I mean by that is focusing on just money early in a career or project begins a never ending cycle of doubt and stress. And rightfully so. The source of the doubt and stress is easy to trace. If you have no foundation and a limited amount of knowledge about what you are building it cannot produce money? You can't live in a new house under construction can you? Of course not.

Doubt and stress are the by product of fear. Fear of the unknown and fear of loss. The easiest way to overcome these fears is to become a student of what you are trying to build And take real focused constant action..In sales that means learning every nuance and and benefit of the product or service you are selling. How does your product or service benefit the consumer you are selling to?. This needs to be done as you are learning how to sell. This, like everything, takes time and effort.No different than the training we receive through WA. It is a process and a foundation building activity that is necessary to achieve success and ultimately money. We must have faith in ourselves (manifested through our determination to learn the material and the curiosity to learn more) and faith in the system and training that is available here by the people who have been where we are trying to get to.

In closing (you gotta be tired of reading this by now lol) For the moment take money out of the equation and build a solid foundation built on knowledge and process. The money will always follow knowledge and hard work.

Unfortunately, we live in a world that is so driven by money, that it is all most people could ever think about! Greed runs wild. It would be a different world if people had the opportunity to learn and invest in what they want, as opposed to what they need to pay the next bill. This was a great read!
