What I am Learning About Article Writing

Create an idea bank of blog posts and articles. Store this information in any form that is easy for you to work with. This ensures you will have something to write about when you think you are out of ideas. It will be a growing document because as you are writing an article or blog, another idea will hit you. You will then make a "deposit" into your idea bank.
Read everything you can that applies to your niche and make note of anything to sparks interest. Questions or comments submitted on your blog or article is another way to get ideas to be deposited.
CREATE AN OUTLINE
Get organized and create an outline. Don't just ask the 5 W's and a H, answer the questions. This will give a complete outline. Which you can expand your thoughts via connecting sentences and providing a summary.
SELF-EDIT LATER
Do not edit while writing your blog or article, this will slow you down. Your brain will jump back and forth between writing creatively and analytically.
WRITE, WRITE, WRITE
Set a goal to write 5 or 6 days a week....whether it be your niche blog, WA blog, article, or guest submit to another blog. Write, write, write.....not just a couple of words but shoot for at least 500 words per day. On your blog, be sure to include your own experiences. Write a review article. Go back to blogs or articles you have already written, and select a paragraph, then expand that paragraph into a detailed article.
NEED A BREAK
Walk away for a bit and take a walk. Do something mundane that doesn't take much thought to do. Clean the house, iron, walk, jog, run, etc. Use your phone to record voice memos to yourself as ideas come your way.
I am definitely preaching to the choir with this information and will begin to implement.
Blessings,
Trudi
