Merry Christmas
It is that time of year and the excitement is building. Family and friends will join together to celebrate. What must be remembered is that it is a lot of work. Decorating, cooking, traveling and shopping plus maintaining your regular job. I think a lot of mummys get tasked with everything with little help. If you have pets here are some hints for a safe Christmas.
The Kitchen
In my house we have eight cats and two dogs. Accidents can happen when we are the busiest. With lots of traffic between cupboards and stoves watch that you do not trip over the cat or the dog. My Border Collie Sheba has to be right there to smell things out. This is when its nice to have help or put the pets in another room until your work is done.
We are always watching that the kitties don't jump on the stove and get burn't. I always put a pot of water on a hot element so it can cool down and no one gets hurt.

Remember that the most common causes of kitchen fires is unattended cooking. If you need a rest please shut the top of the stove off.
I like to feed my furry family members before supper and this way we have had good success with no cats or dog at the table.
This is a good time to remind everyone that onions, chocolate, raw bread dough and raw eggs must not be eaten by cats or dogs.
Be sure to dispose of food wrapping immediately so that your pets don't ingest them. Tin foil, plastic and wax paper are very hazardous. Ingestion of greasy string will require a vet visit. It must not be pulled out regardless out which end of the cat it is sticking out of.
Cats as GiftsThe picture says it all. Pets as gifts needs to be discussed by every one involved. People have dumped pets when the thrill wears off.
How long is Cat Care? It is forever! My cats, dogs and horses are family.
I wish a Very Merry Christmas to everyone and be sure to take your time and enjoy the moment. If you don't observe this season may you have every blessing as well. WE all look at the same sky.
