Making Progress

My journey here at Wealthy Affiliate has been quite interesting thus far. I came to WA with no idea what I was doing. Just trying to find a way to work from home during this pandemic we are all facing.

Walls

Even though it's been a short time since I have started my journey, I have hit some brick walls right out the gate. I was never a good writer, I even struggled with witing during college. I don't blog, well, at least not until now.

I found myself doing so much research on topics I thought I already new about. Then I got to a point, where I was seeing all the competition out in the same niche and how they were definately doing it better than I could.

All this started to really get me down, even to the point I didn't want to deal with it or do it anymore. This really set me back a few days, hence, I am not as far along as I would like to be. It has been a bit difficult ust understanding the platform and the purpose within the site.

For example, the ovewhelming support within the community is something I still need to get used to. I haven't been involved with social media to much. I've been the type of person who has one facebook account and an email,that's my social media activity.

The support is here has been something to get used to, so, if you replyor send a message to me and I don't respond back, please don't be offended, I'm still getting used to all this.

Niche

I didn't really struggle in choosing my niche. However, I did want to find something I knew about, something that i could be passionate about but also pull a good commision from as an affiliate. I pretty much new right away what niche I wanted to target, so I did more research. I also chose my niche with the thought of writing and how I would be able to come up with content for, since as an affiliate, there is allot of writing involved.

I have always believe in health and wellness, even though I don't always practice being healthy. I also believe in inconventional ways when it comes to health and wellness. However, Health and wellness is a bit too broad of a niche.

Therefore I narrowed it down to something I have a real passion for. So my niche I chose was in CBD.

Making progress

I think it was after my 3rd or 4th article is when I started hitting those walls I previously talked about. Iwas to the point of giving up. But I really want to do this to. So I took some time and thought it out. I needed to figure out how to get over this hurdle.

In my research I started to see how little I actually knew about cbd. Therefore I decided I needed more knowledge or training about CBD.

And... I did. I decided to get certified as CBD profssional and CBD coach. I spent the last few days taking a ton of training and learning so much. It was probably the best decision I've made in my time at WA.

It really opened my eyes and brought back some passion I had been missing for quite sometime. I also believe with the knowledge I now have and continue to get with my CBD training, will open many new doors and oppertunities.

I find my writing is getting easier now and I am starting to move a bit faster with my WA training.

I have really enoyed it here at WA, the support is great, the platform is actually quite easy to use once we get used to it.

Goals

Now that I have figured out a more clear path on where I can take this, I am thinking I might need to make some changes to my goals.However, I do know this, In 3 months I would like to have my website fully functional and getting traffic and possibly genrating income.

In 6 months I would like to be generating enough money to seriously consider quitting my full time job. I don't know if it will be possible, but having these goals will keep me motivated and focused on journey.
