Slight course correction
I already have a hosting account with Host Gator. I have a couple of sites on it--one for a book I wrote and another site that I abandoned several years ago (more about that another time since it is related to my new site and it does get traffic). Anyway, when I started here at WA I wasn't sure if it was better to host here or at HG. So, I followed the lessons here and set up my siterubix site. As I went along, I decided it was probably best for me to host the new site at HG (mostly because it makes sense to have all of my sites at one host and I didn't want to move the other two more fully developed sites). So, I spent today figuring out how to transfer my siterubix site.
First, I needed to decide on a domain name. Boy did I get sidetracked on this task! I posted a couple of requests for feedback on domain ideas here in WA (thanks to those of you who gave input) and I decided on www.RuralAttractions.com.
After buying the domain and changing the name servers to those given to me by HG (and adding an add-on domain in HG, setting up an email account, and installing and activating several plugins), I needed to figure out how to transfer my siterubix site to the new domain and redirect any indexed pages to the new site. Luckily I found guidance right on point! I found a video guide by a WA member (Welshy) here. And "Welshy" even chatted with me a couple of times when I got stuck. Another WA member (Steve--the guy who lead me toward WA) also responded very quickly to my direct message asking for input.
Thanks everyone for all of your help!!

Hi Faith! That's the beauty of WA! Everybody helps each other and it's like a concierge service that is 24/7! I'm so glad that you got all the help you needed for the transition of your website.
Thanks for sharing, I really like hearing about other members who are doing what they can to help.
